Computer Graphics through Coding

Markus created his first computer graphics in BASIC at a programming course at Capilano University in North Vancouver. His mind was opened to the potential offered by scripting and he has never looked back.

From that first language, Markus went on to learn Pascal, javaScript, C#, Python and other scripting languages along the way. Long before Photoshop existed, Markus wrote his own paint program and he continues to write utilities to augment production to this day.

"I believe that building my own tools is fundamental to successfully creating CG art. Here on the bleeding edge, the tools you need aren't always there. The available tools mostly solve yesterday's problems." MT
